The hotel was located about a 15-minute walk from Euston station, and it took about 20 minutes to walk to hard rock picadilly and then about 20 minutes walk back to hotel from aldwych theatre Therefore, the location was great. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and very helpful. Our room was an executive room, it was very big with a superior king bed, basically 2 singles put together. It had all the toiletries you would need, and I asked for dental kits, which they sent up to the room. We had a lovely view from our room, 304. Breakfast was a continental, it was very nice. I would've paid to upgrade to a full English, but I wasn't given the option as other guests were. I would definitely ask if I stayed here again. Our room was on the 3rd floor, which was ok for me and my husband although walking up 3 flights of stairs maybe difficult for others especially as the last flight of stairs was steep and almost spiralling with no actual handrail. The lift was out of order at the time. But the concierge was available to carry any luggage. A perfect working hairdryer! And tea making facilities. Couldn't work the T.V, but someone came up immediately to show us after asking for help. Overall, after reading the previous reviews, I was a little worried, but I was surprised as it exceeded my expectations. It's a lovey location and fairly quiet, too. A good stay, reasonably priced in a clean, tidy, and friendly hotel. I would stay here again.

This is a lovely hotel, in a great location. We walked there from Waterloo, and we walked to the surrounding areas easily, such as Theatre Land, Hyde Park, Soho etc., so no need for taxis or public transport. We booked an Executive Room, which was very large and spacious, large bathroom with a full-sized bath, nice sofa, comfy (but firm) bed, lovely matching furniture set, and a good Hospitality tray. Bathroom toiletries were lovely and well stocked. Nice clean, white bed linen and good supply of towels. Lovely view from our room (301), with a lift to the top floor. Breakfast was good, we had the continental buffet, which had a great selection of pastries, cheeses, meats, cereals, fruit, and toast/jams, coffee, tea and juice. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again, and for the price, was good value for money for a London hotel.

The location was great for what we wanted out of this trip, just a 5-min to the Russell Square tube on the Piccadilly line. The hotel staff were all very friendly & helpful, we were able to store our luggage both on day of check in & check out with no problem. The room (Executive) was spacious & had all of the amenities you would need. Free upgrade as well which was a lovely bonus as it was a birthday trip. The temperature was easily controlled through radiators, rather than an ac panel. There was absolutely no noise at night so had 2 very peaceful nights of sleep, we did overlook the back rather than the street but the street was very quiet at night also.

My husband and I stayed for years in a hotel across the road from the Clarendon. My darling husband died from Alzheimer’s in 2023 and I decided my first trip without him would be to London, a city we both loved. I stayed in the Thanet last year, but it was a shadow of its former self. I checked out the Clarendon and it looked good. I stayed this year and enjoyed it immensely. It’s perfect and I live and know the neighbourhood. This will be my hotel when I come to London, which I hope will be once a year.

The hotel staff were more than helpful, polite and efficient. The hotel is well maintained and clean. The room was comfortable with nice bathroom facilities. Location is great with Russell Square close by. Lovely cafes and restaurants, Russell Square tube near by. We wanted to see Camden, 35 minute walk or £12 for urber. Very good value for money. Nice, quiet pleasant area. Will stay again when next in the area.
